You have a weekend to escape your exam - do it! You need to take a mental break, so that when you return to your writing you can see it in a fresh and new way. You should always try to read like a writer and write like a reader.
Remember - your audience knows nothing about your topic and nothing about the story you are writing (except for maybe local info), so include everything they need to know.

I did what you said in your post and you are absolutely right about that because I was really tired after the exams and the break helped me for being relaxed.
