Strike at Birling Factory Week

How will writing the article about the Strike be different from writing the article about Büyükada? Why will it be different? What part of the newspaper will it be in? Is it soft news or hard news?

Reminder:
Your Oral Grades will consist of the assignments you have been doing up until the start of the exam. This includes comments on the class blog and maintaining and updating your own personal blog. You will also receive grades for the interviews you conducted for the Strike as well as the articles you will be writing about the strike and about Büyükada.

You can also do assignments from the Enrichment Folder in 302E as well as revise/correct any assignments that I have looked at and returned to you according to this post.

I believe when we were writing about Büyükada , We just made 1 or 2 interview than write about specific topic but this time there are 2 idea , somebody supporting the strike and somebody else supporting the family , therefore I believe it is more appropriate for newspaper because it will have some discussion also some interesting things. Finally I would like to say that strike is a wrong thing and that will attrack people attention.

The Buyukada article will be soft news because it's not urgent and we will be writing about fun&interesting stuff. However, in the Strike article we'll be talking about a severe affair which affected many people negatively, so it will be hard news.

I think the article about Buyukada will be easier than the article about strike at Birling factory that we're doing now, because when we write Buyukada article, we can remember that day and think about it. However, when we write about Strike in the factory, we just can imagine it. I believe that imagining is harder work. So Buyukada article will be softer than the strike article.

I think they will be different because my buyuk ada project was about crimes and the other one is about a strike in Birlings company. The strike concerns more than one people but the crime just concers the person who suffered that crime. So I think that the difference is the affection. Also I think that the one about Birlings factory is harder than the ısland's article, because we have to interview more people and we must be able to ask as a interviewer and answer as a striker or another one who has a connection with that strike

I think that the Büyükada news is going to be soft news, I agree with Ecem- the strike affected lots of people so it's a hard news. It's more serious too!

I think the Buyukada article was about an Interview and not really a subject that matters much. However the Strike aritcle is more like a news and it has important facts in it that some workers may want to read what happened at the end of the strike or compare their wages with the striking workers wages and think if their wages are enough for them or if they have to perform a strike like this. So the strike article is an article that is more likely to be on a newspaper and it interests more people.
