Why are years less important as time passes? Usually the celebration of a 16th birthday is treated differently than the celebration of a 52cnd birthday. Why do you think that is?
A 16 year old doesn't care about aging or wrinkles on his/her face, or her body which couldn't deal with the gravity. All that person cares about is having fun, friends, parties, school and things like that. The life that's waiting for him is rally long, full of surprises, adventures and new things to discover. So, that person celebrates her/his birthday excitingly and joyfully.
Unlike the 16 year old, the birthday of the 52 year old includes sadness, thoughts about aging, getting uglier, being less energetic, no longer being young and especially getting close to dying. People like that doesn't approach birthdays as if they are exciting events. All they think about is having less time on the earth, which is really sad.
Me, I always think that way. My 16th birthday was 6 days ago, and I was a little sorry that I was getting old, getting one year closer to the end, but I was happy that I had a huge life waiting for me, I still had lots of decisions to make etc.
I don't think that way. As we get older and closer to death it is more important to live hapily and to enjoy the world. I don't know why people think that way but in my opinion every age is beautiful. As you get older you know and learn more.
I think that it is the time that you are being mature. The whole life gets serious; your relationships, homework, responsiblity etc. Every year you get more mature and more inteligent.. Now when you think of the past you are thinking that your were talking meaningless but now you are talking more meaningful.. 20 years later you will think that you were talking meaningless now. So time to time your hobbies and wantings change .. Thats why 16 is important..
