What are you guys up to for your holiday? The two week break is coming soon. I hope you have started looking at The Giver and reading some.
My first son starts pre-school tomorrow! I am very excited for him. We had a special dinner for his birthday and for the start of school. Do you have any traditions before the school year begins?

I don't think that we have any traditions like a special dinner but all the kids get really excited before preschool.
I'll be in Spain. I remember that we went out for dinner and my parents cheered for it.
Well, to be honest, I haven't started reading The Giver, but once you told us this I guess I will start reading it.
We also don't have a special tradition to celebrate the new school year except my whining since a new year full of work is starting.

I haven't started reading The Giver and I won't start reading it during holiday because I will go to Uludağ an have a good holiday. I will ski a lot and have fun, I hope=)

for the holiday, i have gorgeous plans to be with lots of friends... I'm spending my holiday here but i really will enjoy it ! Our family has special celebrations when a child starts going to school for the first time in his/her life. I think i will start reading the giver soon...

I haven't started to read The Giver.
I remember the first day of school. Before that day my parents cheered for it and bought me some presents to make me love the school.
I'll got to Austria and Uludag for skiing.I haven't started to the Giver yet and I guess I won't start it during the holiday because I have to have break.I will start reading it when I comeback.
