Grading/Returning Homework

On almost all assignments that you turn in to me I will underline areas of your writing that can use correction either in your English Grammar or Spelling or Punctuation. I will not tell you what it is, but I will simply underline it.

If at anytime during the unit we are working in, you would like to fix the English and improve the assignment that you handed in once, you can hand in another copy of the assignment with the corrections made, BUT you also need to hand in the original with it.

I will only accept the corrected assignments before the end of the unit. For instance, if we do an assignment while we are reading An Inspector Calls, you must turn in the corrected version BEFORE the exam for An Inspector Calls.

Just like the Enrichment Folder, you will NOT receive EXTRA points, but you will receive an additional homework grade for correcting/revising the assignment. If you have questions, please ask them in the Comments section.

Keep an eye out for Can Peker's interview coming tomorrow!

It is good that you are only underlining our mistakes so we can understand them on our own and won't make it again. Are we going to type the revised version on the computer or on a separate paper?

you can either retype it or you can handwrite it, but either way you MUST also give me the original.

I agree with kerim. I think it is good that you just underlined our mistakes, because we'll realize the mistakes ourseves and try not make them again.

Do you want double spaces when we type our writing?

Also should we write with Arial 12 or whatever we want.

You should always use Times New Roman with 12 pt font and always double space - this way I can make comments if necessary :)

Im glad that you are going to underline our mistakes, because most of the teachers just grade it.

I think this is important because I'll see my mistakes and learn the right things about them.
