How is a play different than watching television or a movie? Why do people view going to see a play as something more intellectual than turning on the television?

a play is harder than a movie or a television because the players have to memorize all of their lines and they shouldn't make any wrong, if they forget their lines they should improvise, but movie or TV is different i think we can't see the players acting when we watch TV or movie.

I think watching plays is more essential for people rather than watching tv because plays usually help people to gain sense of humor. Furthermre, while watching plays, audiences fully concentrate on the show that they are watching. However, while watching tv, concentration mostly doesn't exist. Also, most of the tv shows generally address to all kinds of people without minding any cultural differences. Yet, plays are regarded as more intellectual shows because a smaller group of people prefer watching them.

Watching a play is better than watching a movie because, first of all the Tv shows usually do not have a main idea but in a play there is a main idea and a message which is sent to people who watch the play. Secondly, to set up a play is harder than setting up a tv show. So it is better to watch a play than a Tv show....

watching plays are considered to be more intellactual because the actors must act live and it is much more harder with no computers used and no mistakes cut.
