What is reading like? can you hear the voices of the people in your books? I hope so.
If you are a person who likes numbers, I would do a little test or game...get a timer (one that you don't have to look at) and set it for 60 seconds (one minute) start the timer and then read for the full 60 seconds, noting where you have started and stopped. Then, go back and count the words you read and write the number down.
Do this same activity (with different sections of text) at least 3 times. Then, add up the numbers and divide by 3 and you will get the average of how many words per minute you can read.
Keep in mind - reading a lot of words does not necessarily make you a "good" reader, but the more you read, the faster the words fly by. So - di this test now and then we will do it again at the end of the year and see how far your numbers have jumped!

One of the main reasons I like reading is that I like to create the images of different environments and people in my mind... This helps improve my ability of imagination. Moreover, just as drawing addresses to the eye and singing addresses to the ear; reading addresses to the brain and this is a pretty beneficial thing. That's because this quality of reading makes our minds work and stay fresh...
However ıt was a lıttle borıng and a dıfficult activity. I decıded to read the book that you gave me on friday(the perks of being a wallflower)the first minute I read 167 words. the second minute I read 172 words and the third minute I read 166 words. and the average of the three numbers is 505. I am very curious about what this number will change at the end of the year. It was a different aktivity thankssss.

I like reading books but just the ones I like. For example if you give me a book that is full of stuff with I don't really like it can be really boring for me. But if you give me a book that intrests me then I will finish it in no time and would enjoy it at the same time. However all books are beneficial for us to improve our reading and it helps us to get some new ideas.
At the end I must say that English is my favourite lesson and Mrs. Clark is my favourite teacher:)
If you want me to tell the truth, I don't like reading. This summer when my parents told me that I have to read lots of books to achieve better in high school, I thought that it would be better if I start reading a book. I tried lots of books but I couldn't finish them, but when my english teacher :D handed out a book named SLAM, I realized that ı can read books which are about basketball.

I read a book which you gave me the name of the book is stargirl i really like it:) for the first time i read 151 words,the second time 158 words and the third time 163 words.the average is 157words.but i hope it will increase and i will try to improve it.
When I was in summer school last summer , we found it out everyone's reading style and how much words they can read it. So I think I am a good reader , but not as much as in english.Therefore I have to read more and study about it. My favorite book character is Harry Potter and when I read his books I always imagined him... I even sometimes said to myself, when I was watching his movies, " this is the part which I imagined... " I read 5 books in the last summer and it is a good for me... If one book made me english book lover , that would be great for me , but I have to find that so I should read lots of English books

I like reading a lot but I need to read the book I want and without a time limit. But if I read a book that I didn't like then I can't concentrate and it takes me a lot of time to finish it. So, I enjoy reading but if it's the books I like.
I actually still did not buy my IR book. Hopefully, I will be buying it today. When it comes to the book which we are reading in class, I quite liked it. The relationship between the two siblings reminds me my own relations with my own brother, who is eight. Being a sister is though. :)
I have a little bit of concentration problem but until the end of the lesson, I was noy lost, which was a difficult thing for me. Maybe the fact, me having lines to read or Eray making interesting comments helped me.
I totally agree with Çisil even though I like to read a lot, I don't like it when I am limited. I want to be free so that I can understand every single detail at the book.
